Provide continuous protection along walls. Often installed: around offices, warehouse walls, or pedestrian walkways.

Downpipe Guards

Designed specifically to shield: stormwater pipes, fire services and, communication conduits. These guards absorb impacts before contact with the pipe occurs.

Selecting Appropriate Protection

Officers may also be required to demonstrate they exercised due diligence by ensuring appropriate resources were available to manage these foreseeable risks.

  • Conduct a workplace traffic risk assessment.
  • Identify vulnerable structural columns.
  • Identify exposed downpipes.
  • Assess vehicle operating areas.
  • Install engineered protection.
  • Inspect existing barriers.
  • Include barriers within preventative maintenance.
  • Review after workplace layout changes.
  • Investigate every vehicle impact.
  • Review traffic management annually.
